Just saw this piece via Wonkette. Evidently the financial disclosure forms for the new secretary of defense, Robert Gates, are floating around the internet. Its interesting reading. Gates has done quite well for himself and holds large blocks of stock in the companies he advises. Not only that, he’s earned more than $140,000 from speaking engagements and has been paid more than a $750,000 as president of Texas A&M university.
