Banking On The Go

We all live busy lives with our families, our careers, our social lives, and our extracurricular activities. Our Banks are trying to make our busy lives a little less hectic with more convenient banking options such as online banking and banking by telephone. These options are offered to clients in hopes of catering to their ever busy clientele, it’s banking on the go for people on the move.

We can access our bank accounts and perform account transactions almost anywhere that we can access a telephone through banking by telephone. For those of us who are more visual we can access our accounts with an internet connection through online banking. We can pay bills, transfer funds, send money to other people, and check our account balances all with the click of a key.

Now with smart phones, Blackberries and I phones we don’t even need to be at a computer to access our accounts via the internet.  Online banking is now accessible through our mobile cell phones.  The magic of Mobile Banking allows us to access our accounts and perform transactions from virtually everywhere we are, as long as we have our mobile cell phones, even if we are in another country.

There is a new mobile service for people on the move that was recently launched by Chase Bank called Chase Quick Deposit.  This service allows clients to take a photo of our checks to deposit and then send the photo text to our banks for immediate deposit into our bank accounts with immediate confirmation of our transaction.  It is a convenient, hassle free, and secure way to deposit checks anytime, anywhere.  Click here to view the Chase Quick Deposit commercial.

This new mobile banking service allows clients to “Deposit checks with two camera clicks.” Now clients can deposit checks to their accounts directly with their I Phone.  This new mobile banking service is exclusive to the I Phone and makes me wonder if Apple has a partnership with Chase Bank. Has anyone used this service yet? I would love to hear your feedback on the application.

I know that the I Phone offers other banking applications such as branch locator.  However, I never thought that I’d see the day when we didn’t have to visit a bank branch or an ATM to deposit a personal check…and I work for a bank!!!

i love usaa deposit@home and some other banks have similar features, but i’m weary of doing banking by mobile phone since the security just isn’t there yet.
