Phone Bill Fraud

by Dual Income No Kids on February 22, 2007 · 0 comments

Most of us would rather avoid looking at our phone bill in detail. At the same time, this is a common way for fraud to occur. Check out this short clip from consumer reports to know how to avoid extra charges on your bill.

Also keep in mind that phone fraud happens in bizarre ways. A friend of mine actually had her identity stolen and used to set up a home phone account. They happened to do this in city she had never lived and while she had proof of living out of the country at the time, but it still took a long time to resolve and took a toll on her credit record.

Precaution and vigilance can pay off.

Best,

Miel
