Except that 1.002 doesn't make sense. I've never been billed fractions of a cent, it's always rounded, so why bother with the 'i'. That 'i' might be a tau as in the golden mean. In which case the check is for $163.29, which is a phone bill that would upset anyone.
It’s not 1.002, it’s 0.002. E to the i pi power is -1. That summation is 1. So he’s sending a check for two tenths of a cent, which makes perfect sense. The guy is sending a “F You” check to verizon.
