Things aren’t always milk and honey for married couples. To illustrate this point, I just stumbled across a posting by Paul over at Priceplus. Apparently his wife and he have a serious disagreement about spending and credit card debt. So serious in fact they’ve started hiding money and lying to each other.
While I’m NOT an expert by any means, feel free to check out Paul’s blog, maybe you can offer some helpful advice.
To be entirely frank, Miel and I have had our fare share of disagreements about money. In fact, we had a couple of hairy conversations regarding our prenup and more recently have clashed a bit over paying for grad school.
That said, Miel is really a wonderful wife and partner, so none of our disagreements have been all that bad. In fact, Miel has some good things to say about dealing with martial financial conflict and she’s good at putting them into practice. I recommend you take a look at her post on fighting fair.
Happiness and harmony to all!
Best,
James
